Checking

AmBank offers a variety of checking accounts to adapt to your individual needs. All checking accounts have MasterCard Debit Card or ATM Card capability. All checking accounts are furnished with the accounts first 50 checks free of charge. Listed below are these accounts. All interest rates on interest bearing accounts can be viewed by clicking here on the Interest Rate Sheet. Through Bank Image, AmBank can offer you a less clutter way to view your written checks. We do not mail back your checks; instead included with each statement is a front copy of your written checks. Upon request, AmBank can provide you with a front and back copy of specific individual checks.

Direct Checking Account

Our Direct Checking Account is an ideal account for those customers who plan for minimal withdrawals from their account. This particular account does not normally charge a monthly service fee. The customer is permitted to write up to a total of four (4) checks and a total of four (4) ATM withdrawals from the account without incurring any fees. If the occasion should arise in which additional checks are written (beyond the number of 4) or additional ATM withdrawals (beyond the number of 4) are made, the customer will be charged a $1.50 for each additional withdrawal transaction.

Basic Checking Account

The Basic Checking Account is great for those customers who plan on writing a few more checks than the Direct Account allows. A $25.00 minimum deposit is required to open this account. This account charges a $2.00 fee per statement period. A total of nine (9) checks and/or withdrawals are allowed with this account per statement period. Again, if the occasion should arise in which additional checks are written or ATM withdrawal are needed, the customer will be charged $1.50 for each additional check or withdrawal.

Regular Checking Account

The majority of our customers prefer this type of checking account because unlike the Direct and Basic Checking Account there is no limit on the amount of withdrawal transactions against your account. A $25.00 minimum deposit is required to open this account. If the account maintains a balance of $500.00 or more at all time the $4 monthly service fee is waived for that statement period.

Now Checking Account

Our NOW Account offers our customers several benefits. It is a checking account which earns interest at the same time. A $1000.00 minimum deposit is required to open this account. If the account maintains this balance of $1000.00 or more at all time the $7 monthly service fee is waived for that statement period.

Senior Checking Account

For our customers of age 55 or older, this is the best account. There is no limit on the number of withdrawal transactions you make. There is no monthly service fee, and no minimum account balance to maintain. In addition, you earn interest on the balance in the account. With this account, AmBank will also furnish our Specialty Mint Wallet Checks free of charge.

Small Business Checking

For those individuals just starting their business or have been around for a while, AmBank has the Checking account for you. Our Small Business offers unlimited use of checks and w/d and there is no minimum balance to keep. This account has a monthly service fee of $10.
